Our Volunteers
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
This is your Team section. It's a great place to introduce your team and talk about what makes it special, such as your culture or work philosophy. Don't be afraid to illustrate personality and character to help users connect with your team.

Karen Snyder
Volunteer
Karen Snyder is in her 21st year as an elementary school teacher. She loves giving back to the community. Two years ago, when she heard that Teacher Reuse needed volunteers, she jumped at the chance to give back to a profession she is passionate about.

Mike O'Donnell
Volunteer
Mike O'Donnell recently retired as an IT Director of Infrastructure for Infineon Technologies and now redirects time to several worthy causes, including The Teacher Reuse. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin and began working as a software developer for a large healthcare business in 1982. In 1994, Advanced Micro Devices hired him to help build the data center for their Austin wafer fabrication facility. He worked in the semiconductor industry until his retirement in May. As an innovator and out-of-the-box thinker, he has co-authored thirteen U.S. Patents.

Cheryl Gillmore
Volunteer
Cheryl Gillmore wishes to thank teachers for caring about kids. Teachers are a vital and undervalued community component at the heart of preserving our nation's freedoms. She wants to help repair the sense of community across the divide(s) in the US, starting with her small corner.

Angela Rowe
Volunteer
Angela Rowe retired from 29 years of teaching First Grade at Crockett Elementary in San Marcos, TX. She volunteers for her old school, the San Marcos Public Library, the Friends of the San Marcos Library, the First United Methodist Church, and anything else that piques her interest. Angela enjoys reading, yoga, needlework, and taking extended trips in her Casita travel trailer. She is often seen walking her dog in the cemetery accompanied by a shirtless man (her husband, Scott). Angela has a daughter, Sierra, and a son, Shane. Like Angela, they graduated from SMHS - Go Rattlers! Sierra has two degrees from UT and Shane recently graduated from TXST, so the Rowe family nest is almost empty - except for the dog, of course!

Nancy Turner
Volunteer
Nancy Turner is a nature lover who’s passionate about kids' education, libraries, and books. As a Master Naturalist and Master Gardener, she helps others learn to care for Mother Earth. With Teacher Reuse, the things she cares about most all come together: reusing, recycling, and helping teachers so our children can have the best education. What’s not to love?!

Janna Tischler
Volunteer
Janna Tischler began volunteering at Teacher Reuse in October 2024. Her mother is a retired teacher, and she knows firsthand the importance of the teacher’s role in education and the resources that have not always been available. Many times, teachers pay out of pocket for these resources. She enjoys unpacking and shelving donations, making them readily available for teachers to take back to their classrooms.

Tracy Shaw
Volunteer
Tracy Shaw has a BA in Liberal Arts from Cornell College and a teaching certification from UTSA. At the reuse store, she helps sort ELAR activities into grade levels so teachers can easily shop for their grade-level students.
